Overwatch’s origin stories aren’t fully animated instead relying on still animated images with excellent voice-over work. Their purpose is to make players WANT to play the specific hero once they are deployed through a main game update (probably). You get a decent sense of the character’s traits and overall personality, while also being able to somewhat piece together their function and in-game abilities.
At the beginning, we learn that she knows both Torbjörn (her father) and Reinhardt (who saved her father’s life in combat) which is pretty cool. I honestly didn’t even know that before writing this review. The rest of the play origin story plays out mostly like a battle cry. Brigitte speaks about how she will help and heal the people she fights in battle with.
Not as cool as their fully animated cinematics but interesting and fun nonetheless.
7/10 – Good
