Family Man: Prologue Review

Surprisingly good. The first 10 minutes or so has the game moving you along major life events: meeting your lover, getting married, getting together for Christmas. And it does this in an almost cinematic way as doors are used not only to move the player between physical spaces but through time as well. Very cool way of achieving a back-story.

Unfortunately, its a weirdly thought out demo. Once you get out of the tutorial, a timer starts counting down how much time you have left to play the demo. I would have rather had it stop via a triggered event. Also, the movement is kind of awkward and the brief time you are given to fire a gun also felt a bit awkward. I can see this turning out really good or bad as a whole, but the Prologue is pretty decent.

6/10 – Decent
