The Father Review

I wasn’t surprised to learn that The Father‘s director is first and foremost a playwright. It is staged very theatrically rather than cinematically. But it is a film that does a good job at depicting its nuanced and complicated subject matter. The film could have been double the length and explored the topics much more in-depth. However, for its length and story, it is a success despite being saddening and terrifying.

7/10 – Good
